Auto Ordnance Corporation Model 1911A1 semi-automatic pistol, .45 ACP, 5" barrel, blued finish with 24K gold-accented controls including trigger, hammer, grip safety, thumb safety, barrel bushing, and magazine release. Walnut grips with inlaid WWII commemorative medallion. Slide engraved: "WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE M1911A1 .45" with all three theaters of WWII operation: European Theater, Pacific Theater, and China-Burma-India Theater. Presented in fitted hardwood case with burgundy velvet lining, brass lock, brass nameplate, and original gold presentation key. Case includes original American Historical Foundation brass commemorative plaque and service ribbon. Limited edition issued by The American Historical Foundation. Unfired. Serial number WW1717.
