Smith & Wesson Model 625-3 "Model of 1989" double action revolver, .45 ACP, 3" barrel, stainless steel. Fully engraved overall in dense American scroll with starburst accents by Hunter Flannery of Jeff Flannery Gun Engraving Company, Union, Kentucky. Faux ivory grips with S&W medallion inlay. Bright polish finish. Accompanied by letter from Flannery Gun Engraving Company attributing the work to Hunter Flannery. The 3" barrel 625-3 is among the rarest configurations in the 625 series. The Flannery shop — founded by nationally recognized engraver Jeff Flannery — has produced documented work that has appeared at major auction houses. Hunter Flannery trained under his father and works from the same Union, Kentucky studio.
