Pair of substantial cast brass eagle bookends, each depicting an American bald eagle with wings spread and talons extended, perched above a relief-decorated base with oak leaves and acorns. Mounted on rectangular cream-colored polished onyx stone bases. Detailed feather modeling with aged brass patina. 20th century. Condition: Generally good with surface wear, oxidation and patina to brass consistent with age. Onyx bases show natural color and veining with possible minor edge wear. See photographs. 7" Tall
