Pair of large Chinese porcelain covered ginger jars of baluster form, decorated in the famille verte palette with colorful scenes of precious objects, vases, censers, flowering plants and scholarly objects. Decorative borders in yellow, green, blue and iron red surround the foot, shoulders and covers. Each with domed lid and finial. Chinese, 20th century. Condition: Display well with scattered surface and enamel wear and typical firing irregularities. Covers, rims and foot rims should be inspected for chips, hairlines or restoration.
