This finely detailed area rug is in the Persian Qum and Kashmir tradition. The ivory field is filled with intricate paisley (boteh) forms and blossoms in crimson, rose, gold, and green, arranged around a central floral medallion. A wide turquoise main border repeats the paisley and floral motifs, framed by multiple crimson guard borders and a red outer edge. The pile has a striking high sheen that makes the colors shimmer, and fringe finishes both ends. The rug is signed. It measures approximately 74" x 48" (about 4' x 6'). Condition: Light wear consistent with use; the fringe is tangled and uneven in places. Please see photos for condition.
