LOT 193 - Regency-Style Carved Mahogany-Finish Window Bench with Scrolled Arms, 35" Long
Description

This window bench, sometimes called a vanity bench, is in the Regency style, with dramatic scrolled ends that sweep up from the base into reeded, scroll-tipped arms. Each end panel is carved with a ribbon-tied fan motif above open lattice supports. The carved apron is decorated with ribbon and leaf ornaments, and the bench stands on reeded, splayed saber feet. The upholstered seat is covered in a red and gold striped damask with a woven scroll pattern. The warm mahogany-tone finish complements traditional décor, and it suits the end of a bed, a window, a vanity, or an entry. It measures approximately 35" long. Condition: There is finish wear and scuffing to the arms and frame, and one foot has visible finish loss and wear at its tip. The upholstery shows light wear consistent with use. Please see photos for condition.
