This is a large porcelain jardinière (cachepot) glazed in a mottled celadon-green faux-marble finish. It has raised gilt decoration in the French Empire manner: oval medallions of a crowned, mantled coat of arms with an eagle in the shield, framed by laurel wreaths. A Greek key band with florettes runs below the rolled rim, and the lower band has swans, anthemion, and wreaths. There are red enamel accents throughout. The base has the blue printed "AC Oriental - Since 1880" mark with red seal characters, a painted number, and felt pads. 10.5"x7.5"
