This tall wall mirror has a shaped, arched crest in the Queen Anne style. The frame is finished in black lacquer with gilt chinoiserie decoration: flowering branches along the crest and base, pagodas, figures, and foliage down the sides, and gilt lattice panels and stylized cartouches at the upper corners. A gilt outer edge and inner molding frame the plate glass. It works well above a console, chest, or dresser and pairs nicely with Asian-inspired or traditional furnishings.
